Preparations for the play “Boy from the Water” for the Festival evening as part of the project “Environmental response in Timočka Krajina” have begun

In the “Children’s Center” in Zaječar, preparations for the inclusive play “Boy from the Water” have begun”. The theme of the play is pollution of water resources and how it can be prevented. This summer, the performance will be part of the Festival evening provided by the project “Environmental response to mining expansion in Timočka Krajina”, which is realized by the Association “Za Drinking Fountains” together with partner organizations from Bor and Zaječar, and financed by the EU.

„The play “Boy from the water” deals with the problem of water pollution in Timočka Krajina. During the workshops in the previous months, we focused on researching how and to what extent the waters are polluted“, said Selena Ristić, director of the Children’s Center.

This year’s inclusive play is actually a continuation of last year’s play “Bestow a Breath”, which was shown at the Festival Evening in Bor in August 2022. The script for the play was created by the joint work of the creative workshops of the Association “Children’s Center” Zaječar, the Association “L-Down” and the executive production “Sigma Bor”.

The premiere of the inclusive play “Boy from the Water” is going to be presented at the second Festival evening in Zaječar, as part of the project, when the audience will be able to watch a review of documentaries with an environmental theme and attend a discussion about the protection of water resources.
