Zaječar Among the Most Polluted Cities in Serbia in 2022 in Terms of Air Quality (VIDEO)

The air quality in Zaječar during 2022 was exceptionally poor, as indicated by recently released annual data from the Environmental Protection Agency. The exceedance of permitted levels of suspended particles PM10 was as much as 122 days, or about 4 months, while the annual allowance is 35 days. While Zaječar experiences air pollution from combustion products in individual heating during the winter months, in Bor, according to the agency’s data, arsenic concentrations exceeded the annual target value at three measuring points in 2022.
