Fifth Episode of the Series “Look Around You” – Clear Sky over Bor

Bor is a mining town where copper and gold have been excavated for more than a century. This is why Bor, both in the former Yugoslavia and today, is one of the most polluted cities, where residents breathe air containing heavy metal particles, and rivers are contaminated with acids, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury.

Much has changed in Bor, including the ownership of the Bor Basin, but environmental pollution has remained. This is the topic of another episode of the series “Look Around You,” produced as part of the project “Environmental Response to Mining Expansion in Timočka Krajina.”

You can watch the fifth episode of the series “Look Around You” below.

This documentary episode was produced within the project “Environmental response to mining expansion in Timočka Krajina” funded by the European Union, and implemented by the Association “Za Drinking Fountains”, the Association of Young Researchers Bor, Civic Library “Europe” Bor and Children’s Center Zaječar.
